Hidden relations...

Some moments develop unique  relation with songs and when the songs are played over a period of time, they give  nostalgic feelings. Those songs are cherished through out our life. when we move ahead in our career and other relationship, we face hardship of life and sometimes the hardest part forces us to retreat to old relaxing days and those songs help us in this endeavour.

But when your favorite  singer ceases to exist, some part of your heart mourn. Even though you are not related to him but still you feel sad and sorry for their demise.

This year I have lost my favorite singers-Jagjit Singh and Kuleep Manak. I grew up listening to their songs and every song reminds me of golden moment. but rest of my life I will try to keep them alive in my memories.

God bless their soul

Silent mind

Its been almost one year since I have written anything new. There could be two reason either my mind has gone blank or some ideas that strike through my mind becomes irrelevant by the time I try to give them blog form.

I'm married and with that comes huge responsibities but I'm still living my bachelor life, ignoring the fact that some one is my priority now.

When I start my shift, I just burden myself with golden memories I gained back there in India-keep planning my visit to india.

India is still the same and fresh in my memories when I left it.I still expect same old time, old friends and old job but  I know everything has changed. Almost everything. I won't find same friends or same circumstances. Everyone will be busy in ones own world. Time passes like camera flash and you only get blurred pictures to cherish.

This is the cost I have to pay in lieu of coming abroad.

Drink and drive

This picture seems funny to me and remind me of some funny captions one can see on either side of indian roads. One caption which is still there in my mind goes like this
If married to speed, divorce it.

welcome abroad!!

I was chatting with my classmate over the facebook chat.We studied together. We were just doing casual chat, asking about our families welfare bla bla things. We were in same company when I was in Chandigarh. He was taking care of Bathinda region and I was responsible for Sales & Marketing in Chandigarh and surrounding areas.

He said one thing which still make me think of all the time." dude you should have stayed there in Chandigarh. Why abroad? "Only those go to abroad who don't have solid education backgroud in India" that was his words. I paused for a moment and started thinking about all those collegues who have been with me here in NZ, to my surprise those were not qualified and worst part they can't even speak proper language. Then again I started typing "no no bro its not like that" but somehow I couldn't convince him and he went on saying. We ended up without any conclusion.

we both were right at some points....

the unsung heroes .....

One article says" Wellington Sikh Society came into being and soon they started celebrating the ANZAC day. They prayed for those Australians and NewZealanders who laid their life in Eygpt during world war 1. I wonder how many of them actually knew that ANZAC day is equally important to The Sikhs as well.

ANZAC stands for The Australia & New Zealand Army Corps founded in 1915 in Egypt and operated during "Battle of Gallipoli". The battle was decisive victory for Turks and later resulted in forming a new nation "Republic of Turkey" or "Turkey". During the battle both side received many casualities.

But  where the Sikhs stand in this battle. well during 1914, Sikh battalion was part of British Army and roughly there were six Sikhs battalion named 14th Sikhs, 15th Sikhs, 35th Sikhs, 36th Sikhs, 45th Sikhs and 47th Sikhs and 14th Sikhs were dispatched to Gallipoli to help 2nd British Fusiliers and where they wrote history with their bravery. The regiment caputered two turkish trench line named J11 & J13. Two photographs of Sikh troops with captured Turkish troops are available at Alexander Turnbull Library. ref: F 77922-1/2 and F 140147-1/2).

back to my father's days

My father is very fond of listening to old music. His favourite singer is Muhammad Rafi. I grew up listening to some of the best voices in bollywood industry. All thanks to my father.
